Why do we wear make up and where did it all begin?

Let’s admit it, we wear makeup to make ourselves look and feel great, to express out femininity and to accentuate our features. Did you know that the use of make up goes as far back as 4000BC when the ancient Egyptians used herbal pastes made from crushed berries and seeds and wore lipsticks made from carmine beetles mixed with ant’s eggs to achieve an intense red pigment. So even back then it was all about feeling good about ourselves!

In today’s ever-changing glitz and glamour we see many different styles, looks, creations in makeup. Makeup gives us the opportunity to express ourselves and create what ever your heart desires. It enables us to change our image with a flick of eyeliner to the eyes or a flash of colour to the cheeks.
